Effective date: 10/01/2026

Heart of Maine Doula Program ("Heart of Maine," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This statement explains what information we collect through www.heartofmainedoula.org (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.

Information you give us. When you fill out our contact form, join our waitlist, enroll, make a purchase, donate, or subscribe to updates, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and anything else you choose to include in your message.

Payment information. Payments and donations are processed by third-party providers (such as Squarespace Commerce, Stripe, or PayPal). We do not receive or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our host, Squarespace, automatically collects technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring site, and the date and time of your visit. This is done through cookies and similar technologies.

3. How we share your information

We share information only as needed to run the Site and our program:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

4. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses cookies needed for it to work (for example, the shopping cart) and analytics cookies that help us understand Site traffic. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work properly. Squarespace's own cookie policy, available on its website, describes the cookies it sets.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, such as managing enrollment, keeping financial and donation records, or meeting legal requirements. After that, we delete it or keep it in a form that no longer identifies you.

8. How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures, including the security features of our service providers, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
